Necessary Replacement Tools:

• Plastic Opening Tools

Step 1

• Insert one of the plastic opening tools gently into the outer frame surrounding the SD card slot and carefully pry in an upward motion to create separation in the front and rear panels.

Step 2

• Continue carefully sliding and prying around the tablet with a plastic opening tool to separate the front panel from the back panel. 
• There are clips around the device you will release and you will hear a dislocating sound as they are disconnected.
  

  

Step 3

• Once the two halves are freed, remove the back cover and place in a safe area.
  

  

Step 4

• Next, use a plastic opening tool or tweezers to peel back the green tape from the cable connectors on the two black ribbon cables. 
• Use a plastic opening tool to lift up on the plastic clips on the connectors.

• Remove the six Phillips screws surrounding the battery and place in a safe area.

• Use a plastic opening tool and gently insert it between the battery and the frame.
